You Are What You Eat

You Are What You Eat draws from graffiti and street culture to function as both social commentary and time capsule, reflecting on consumption, consumerism, and cultural identity.

By printing on discarded shopping bags, the work pushes beyond traditional printmaking, moving off the flat page and into the physical world. These everyday discarded items are repurposed and assembled into a dimensional, billboard-like relief sculpture.

Through this assemblage, shape and texture emerge as critical elements, transforming the familiar into a site of reflection. Objects tied to consumption are recontextualized, prompting viewers to question the systems and identities they help construct.
