Matthew Simons

Influenced by my many years as a graphic designer, much of my work is flat and sometimes mechanical, often employing various elements of pop culture, graffiti, line, texture, and found objects. I draw reference from the natural world and language, abstracting and constructing visual dialogs through my art.

Primarily working with ink on paper, I use printmaking techniques as a foundation, occasionally integrating collage, drawing, and painting. Through this process, I balance control with experimentation, creating pieces that invite both reflection and curiosity – and visual conversation.
